Research:
The Cycle of Wool

Wool is a remarkable material—antibacterial, insulating, fire-resistant, organic, and biodegradable—yet in Europe, it is often treated as waste. At FarmLab, we are dedicated to reclaiming the value of wool as a vital resource for sustainable fashion and local economies.

As a working sheep farm, we research and revive traditional wool-processing techniques while seeking innovative, accessible applications for this underutilized material. Through hands-on experiments, open-source tools, and community workshops, we aim to bridge the gap between ancient knowledge and modern needs, fostering a future where wool is once again recognized as a precious and sustainable resource.
